8232127Douz is where many a desert tour overnight and here you get your 'camel ride' experience. All this is a bit too mainstream and touristy for my liking. The town itself is typically desert Tunisian, not much of interest but fair enough in all respects.

0165Douz, sometimes called 'the gateway to Sahara' is the place where you don't have to shop or party or do the sight-seeing but you definitely must do one thing - ride a camel into Sahara!
