Travel Tips from people who've been to Kusadasi

I went before September 11th 2001.  I wouldn't step foot in this city with an American Passport.  The Bazaars are cool, but if your not quick on your toes, your going to A.) Get Robbed, B.) Get Swindeld C.) Possibly kidnapped.  It's a city where cruise ships come in for a port of call, but again I don't know what they do now with all the changes, it's been a while.

When in Kusadasi do be prepared to be ransacked by the locals over everything!Although a lovely place ,(great sites, etc.), the locals are a tad too in your face and will take offence if you dont buy something. I got called a whitey b*stard to which I kindly informed the gentleman that he was a son of a whore.Goes down great in muslim countries!
