Marmaris Travel Guide

I had my hunny moon at the Club Turban and out of all the resorts I've been to in Turkey, this was definatley the best.  If you go in down season there is a signifigant price difference, but the thing about Turkey is that in September and even October the water at the beach is still warm as is the weather.  The food was definatley divine and the best selection I've ever seen at an all inclusive resort.  The rooms were nice, but the best to be seen was definately outside of the rooms.  The beach was beautiful and so romantic at night time.  There was also a disco bar at night.  I'm not into techno, but the DJ is pretty open to playing new music to please the crowd.  The ppl who worked there were always trying to accomodate for us whether it be entertainment or through serving us.  They put on a little show in the mini theator every night and that was surprisingly worth attending.  Every night around tenish they also, provided transportation to the downtown club area for a small fee of i think ten dollars.

I'm so dissapointed to see new face of this city. Despite the nowaday situation which can be described as a city with degenerated night life, destroyed nature with appartment blocks, disgusting immigrant people working in city center Marmaris had once a warm weather, long and joyful boat trips, frinedly local people. Please try to learn about Marmaris as it was, not only as it is now. 

Marmaris is turistic city but behind a wall of disco's and bar's hide great history. First traces of human presence found near the city are dating back 12,000 years. In ancient ages it was also an important region on the read to egypt for example... Try to know Marmaris as it was, not only as it is now. U will discover many great and interesting things.
