  0335If you're here, it's likely to catch the ferry to Lesvos, Greece. Make sure you actually call them directly for a schedule beforehand - other sources of information are unreliable. We ended up having to wait a day and a half for the ferry after rushing to Ayvalik to make one that we'd been assured by the owner of our hostel at our last stop would be going. There's little to do in Ayvalik, though I suppose it was an interesting experience of staying in a small, distinctly untouristy town. Good tip? (0)  0165Check the ferry schedule ahead of time, as they don't depart everyday. The ferry from Ayvalik to Mitolini, Greece is a nice ride, very simple customs procedures on either end. Good tip?
