The little town of Side is absolutely worth a visit! This is a wonderful town, very cosy with a lot of restaurants and bars, but also a lot of culture: everywhere in the town you can find Roman ruins. You enter the town by car driving under the ancient grate gate, it's very impressive.

Go to the nightclub on the pier called "Bedenalti."  As it's name would suggest, it's directly below the castle.  It's run by a Turkish Canadian named Mehmet -- a great guy who is always interested in meeting travelers.  He'll take care of you.
