Coffee House Hostel, Lvov

A good chocie of accomodation though not necessarily the cheapest. Coffee House Hostel provides the standard range of dorm and private rooms (shared bathroom) at an unbeatable city centre location - literally 2 minutes from Pl. Rynok, the main market square, 5 minutes from the Opera House and directly accross the street from an amazing church.

The hostel is situated in a converted private appartment. There is a large communal kitchen with a fridge, cooker and microwave as well as free tea and coffee all day. There is also a PC and free internet access for guests.

For a winter visit it is warm and cozy and heating is provided by quaint tiled ovens located in the rooms.

The staff are invariably friendly and helpful, though the hostel itself does tend to get a little noisy at night as nocturnal revellers gradually turn in after midnight.

L'viv it is very beautifull but destroyed by time and bad guvernment city. From there comes many Polish Intelectuals and in the past it was one of the strongest (Humanistic) Polish Cities. I would strongly recommend to go there. It is really nice. Y will find there something diferent from Western Cities like in Germany. You can travel there with "Marshrutkas" but really I don't know exatly how it works but IT WORKS! Very helpfull will be somebody from Lvov on the beginning to show Y what is going on there. The best and cheapest way to get there is by coach bus from Lublin (Poland). Y can take also train directly from Krakow (Poland) or Warsaw (Poland). I wish Y nice time there.
