Travel Tips from people who've been to Canterbury
Canterbury is a jewel. The Cathedral’s stained glass windows are glorious. Visit St Margaret’s church for a walking tour through the world of Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales – complete with sights, sounds, and smells! If you have a sweet tooth, you can pick up some wonderful hand-made fudge at the Fudge Kitchen on Sun Street.

We decided to visit Kent for our Easter long weekend brea this year, we scoured so mnay little towns and villages in the four days, it was brilliant! We spent an entire day at Canterbury. It is amazing.. so many little alley ways and tiny doors (I am a door person!)

Boat Tours and Food! To go on the rowboat tour of the Stour River, you have to go through this ancient restaurant. It says 1500 on it's door, but it was actually built in 1495.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this city, and will definately visit again. It is full of antiquated buildings like this... which look like they are about to collapse!

If you really want to visit Canterbury in a unique way, then you should take a boattour!! These tours take you over the river through the city! It is a good way to relax after a day of strolling around! You can get some beautiful pictures of the cathedral and the tour takes you next to a lot of interesting place! The bridges are also very beautiful! The prices range from 4 to 7 pounds. You can find more information on the canterbury website. http://www.canterbury.co.uk/thedms.asp?dms=13&GroupId=2&venue=3030225 Enjoy!!
