Travel Tips from people who've been to Dover
If you have made reservations for a boat to Calais, but you arrived to early, you should ask if you can take a boat earlier, if you’re lucky their might be some free places. Otherwise you can visit the White Cliffs of Dover.
White rock in Dover was that kind of staff you really want to see before death. Especially, when you traveling with a bus from Poland :/ about 28 hours or so. I felt exhousted, dirty, tired like shit, La Manche was so cloudy and misty that I was relly afraid that my ferry could crush. That rock was blessing thing, such beautiful, so meaningful! You must see that!
Go take a tour and spend all day at Dover castle. The views are great from the castle and they have opened up with WWII tunnels beneath it. It's quite a show especially with the white cliffs being all around you. There is also a ferry to France if you plan on making it more than a day trip or plan on passing through to go to France.
