Fairford is the home of the "Royal International Air Tattoo" which normally takes place in the middle of July each year... This year (2008) it was canceled the first time ever due to major rainfall and "muddy conditions". Anyone interested in military aviation and airshows - this is the place to go. There are some lovely B&Bs around... Search google for "bed and breakfast" Fairford.
