Travel Tips from people who've been to Lincoln
This pretty city is located in the heart of some of the best arable land in England. There appears to be plenty of flat easily cultivated land around here and the significance of the River Witham in terms of long historic human habiatation is not to be overlooked. There is low population to land dynamic, in comparison with some of the larger cities. Everything & everyone is within a half days walking distance inside the city itself. The Brayford is a large freshwater resovoir in the heart of the city itself. In terms of survival potential in the event of civilization collapsing there is probably nowhere better to be than a place like Lincoln. I feel incredibly lucky to be here... Good tip? (0) An often overlooked city, Lincoln has a great cathedral and many fine medieval buildings. It's quite literally a city on a hill, so be prepared to walk up and down. The remains of the Bishop's Palace are well worth exploring, and there is a rather nice Roman arch in town as well. Good tip? (0) Courtyard by Mariott is a nice North American-style hotel on Brayford Pool and only a short 5 minute walk from Lincoln's High Street. Clean, accessible and convenient, the Courtyard is a good place from which to walk all over Lincoln's city core. Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Lincoln
