Travel Tips from people who've been to Manchester
home of 2 football teams City & United and is also home to T.V's Coronation Street Good tip? (+1) My tip while travelling within Manchester is to use manchester tram. Manchester wasn the first city inh UK to acquire light rail tram system. Hence, it is very well developed and sophisticated transport system. I would also recomed to use bus while travelling to short distances in Manchester. It has the most extensive bus netwrok in UK outside London. My last tip would be to stay at <a rel="follow" href="serviced'>http://www.silverdoor.co.uk/serviced-apartments/Edinburgh">serviced (www.silverdoor.co.uk/serviced-apartments/Edinburgh) apartments Edinburgh</a> as the services are very good. Good tip? (0) I was in Manchester for a night with a group of male friends that happen to be gay. With that said... they took me around since I was very unfamiliar with the city. For the homo-friendly ppl, I suggest going to Canal St. It's about four blocks long with back to back bars/pubs and clubs. There's plenty of live music, a friendly atmosphere, and you can drink in the street. The scenery is nice b/c its by the water. I went on Sparkle weekend where guys play dress up if you catch my drift. I highly recommend it. Its open to gays and lesbians of of course but there were some straight guys and gals there too. Good tip? (0)
