Travel Tips from people who've been to Grand Canyon Village
You can take a plane to Phoenix or Flagstaff, if you arrive to Phoenix you'll need to take a bus to Flagstaff (Greyhound, Open Road Tours or Flagstaff Express aprox. $40), in Flagstaff you take Open Road Tours or Flagstaff Express to Grand Canyon and can get off at Maswik Lodge (aprox. $25).
The Grand Canyon is a great big hole in the ground and I expected more than that for some reason. The village is essentially there to sell souvenirs... indian turquoise and silver jewellery and dream catchers.... ho hum. The walk into the canyon is like Paris Hilton; demanding and pointless.
