Travel Tips from people who've been to Coronado
Coronado is a large peninsula in San Diego. There is the Coronado bridge going from the freeway into Coronado. It is an expensive area with a gorgeous beach, "a dog beach"  and the Famous Coronado Hotel, built in the early 1900's, where apparently Wallis Simpson & Prince Edward hooked up & features in Marilyn Munroes film "Some like it Hot". The hotel still has that old feel to it & is abit spooky too becasue is rumoured to be haunted, by a woman who died there.

Be careful about going into the ocean south of Coronado. The raw sewage that gets dumped into the ocean from the Tijuana River tends to follow the current north along Coronado before the stronger southward current pushes it back.

This place is crazy - there's next to NO crime.  Awesome.  Try to get lost and end up on the San Diego Naval Base(rowr!), but if that fails, head to Old Town - there are great markets selling Central American wares.
