ADD TO LISTNapa Valley is the most famous wine producing region in the United States. It is located about 40 minutes North from San Francisco, and the wines produced here have won numerous prestigious awards.
Napa is also a major culinary destination, and many highly acclaimed restaurants, including The French Laundry by Thomas Keller call Napa their home. Napa Valley includes a number of small cities including Napa, Saint Helena, Yountville and more. For those looking to relax, the mineral rich waters Calistoga provide for a great spa experience.
Nearby to Napa are other wine producing valleys including Sonoma Valley and the Healdsburg, in the Russian River valley.

It's so worth making an appointment here. The wines are fabulous and the view from the al fresco tasting room is spectacular. All of the wines here are stellar. And although this is a prestigious winery, they do offer affordable blends which are wonderful in their own right. Joseph Phelps is not to be missed on any trip to Napa!
