A must see if you come to L.A is Santa Catalina Island. It is a beautiful small little island, with a absolut mediterrean feeling. You can get there by taking a ferry from Long Beach. Once you arrived there you will not fell like beeing in the USA. You will find the people there using small golf carts instead of using cars to get around...amazing...you will love it, if you are into nature, nostalgic feeling, relaxing, etc. Its nothing if you are into nightlife, wall-markets, etc. It is worth to stay overnight in one of the small little hotels in Avalon...JUST WONDERFUL TO ENJOY LIFE & YOURSELF
