Beautiful town with an interesting town square. Check out the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau for more info. Also check Yelp for dining ideas. I recommend Jack London Park. And there are a plethora of wineries around, some with beautiful gardens.
ADD TO LISTLocated west of Napa Valley, Sonoma is not quite as well known as Napa, but the wines are just as good and the wineries have often times won as many awards. The two regions have had a bit of a rivalry over the years. Sonoma wineries are a bit more intimate, and the region is far more specialized on wine than general tourism.
Travel Tips from people who've been to Sonoma
Sonoma, is amazing, if you cant get yourself to Tuscany Italy, Sonoma would be your second choice. It looks a lot like Tuscany with it's rolling hills and the wineries are great.
Great visits in the vineyards. A must do in Napa or Sonoma for every wine lovers touring in California. Cheers!
