01018Much more laid back than the south shore of Tahoe. Makes a great central location to all the Tahoe area resorts and hidden back country stashes. Visit Alpine Meadows if you are up to the challenge but, bring your A-game, ava-beacon, probe, shovel, and friend that knows the terrain.

86827180Tahoe is an amazing place to go Skiing, Hiking or anything outdoors. If you come to Tahoe in the shoulder season you will have it all to your self. They best times of year are September-November and April-May. Take advantage of the slow season.

0153Tahoe City is a great base to start from for exploring North Lake Tahoe area... I recommend Granlibakken for a place to stay nearby... plus Alpine Meadows for winter sports, and River Ranch for a place to eat / stay / party / cocktails, etc.
