When going to Yosemite, make sure that you pre book accomodation and you get there during the day!  It is quite scary because of the multiple bear warnings and the need to keep all food in metal boxes.  From personal experience do NOT spill hot chocolate all down your jumper on the way there because you will spent the entire night sucking on your clothes to get rid of it...  Make sure you choose accomodation with more then 3 walls!  Having a canvas walls seems especially fragile when you see the size of the bears!
