Washington DC is home one of the world's major capitals.  This picturesque city is filled with grand monuments and structures including the various Smithsonian Museums, the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial and more..  It is here, that the iconic White House calls home.  Strolling through Washington DC (especially during spring when the cherry blossom trees are in bloom) is a must-do experience.

Are you planning a sightseeing trip to Washington, D.C.?  Once there, consider using the Metrorail for all your travel needs.  It is convenient, inexpensive, clean, safe, worry- free, and green.  You will find that the Metrorail has routes from the Ronald Reagan Washington National, Baltimore-Washington International, and Dulles, Airports (so you will save on taxis).  There really is no need to rent a car or pay for parking.  You can get almost everywhere in D.C. on the Metrorail: Historic Neighborhoods (like Georgetown – great restaurants), Federal Buildings and Visitor Centers, Galleries, Museums, and Libraries, Gardens and Parks (even the Zoo).

Each traveler will need a ticket or a farecard.  A farecard holds between $1.35 and $45. Farecards are available at fare vending machines in Metrorail.  A good option to consider is the one day pass – (less than $8.00) unlimited travel.

I have been to D.C. literally hundreds of times and always use the Metrorail.

Good journeys!
