I'm a truck driver and I can definitely tell you to steer clear of the Pilot's rest rooms. They're usually pretty bad. The TA seems to have a lot more truck parking available at any given moment.

Marta is Atlanta´s subway. Its easy to use and can take you anywhere in Altanta. Be sure to leave your bags at your hotel or locker at the airport to avoid any bad situation.

When going to Savannah, be sure to visit some of the many amazing museums, take a trolley tour around downtown Savannah, visit Forsyth Park and its fountain, visit the old cemetery and have a look at the pubs, bars and shops down at the harbour.
Make sure to visit the sweet shop which offers a lot of lovely sweets for which the south is known for.

See the worlds biggest aquarium, an amazing experience, but a bit expensive 25-30$
The olympic games center.
Coca Cola museum if you like that.
Martin Luther King is also represented there as a attraction.
The "Gone with the wind" (Scarlett O'Hara) museum just out of towm.
There's also the underground mall.
Or just a walk around the city to view the daily life, which is very quiet on sundays...
Money exchange and bank machines all around.
Very easy accesing subways.
Safe for women travellers, under normal behavior.
Locals very friendly helpful for single travellers.
