Go to the Museum of Science and Industry and see the Fairy Castle. It is a huge, 7 ft. tall, doll house that was created by a very wealthy woman in the 1920s. It includes such things as miniature versions of contemporary literature, signed by the authors, tiny ancient artifacts, and a tiny pistol that actually shoots. It's amazing, but try to go at a time when few people are there.

I don't like chicago. I cannot put my finger on it, whether it be the endless traffic, the fact that I paid to go to the top of the Sears tower and couldn't see a thing, or that O'Hare airport is the worst in the country. Their transit system is nice. The downtown area is nice if you take a river tour of the city you'll have fun. Otherwise chicago, in my opinion, is a hole.

Okay Chicago the best city in the U.S because I lived here half of my life, anyways when you come to Chicago, always try our Deep Dish Pizza and the Great Restaurants which is all over the place , go to Wrigley Ville (Clark Ave) check out the strip of Bars, clubs, and Live Bands, at night time take a cruise around Downtown starting point well be Lake shore drive, take a trip to Navy Pier and see the Museums and Land Marks, need to shop? Take a walk at the magnificent mile (Michigan ave.), if you really want to see the a good view of the city at night time, then hop on to the Sears Tower...need some Asian spice, head down to Chinatown, well so far I covered most of the tourist attraction...Enjoy Chi-town...

This is my recipe for a "perfect day in Chicago:" a morning on the Magnificent Mile, an afternoon at the Art Institute and, depending on the time of year, an evening at the Lyric Opera -OR- at Wrigley Field.

Minnie's -- the restaurant/ diner is an adorable. Everything is "mini" and you can mix/ match what you want so you don't get food jealousy. even the beers come in mini bottles and drinks... oh! and the food is good and inexpensive. Good for cute date, families with kids or just friends... really good.. I think it's near Artimage or Armitage street? Area?

Best way to 'tour' the city is taking the Architectural Canal cruise. Very impressed with the Cheesecake Factory (meals were so, so, but the cheesecakes... devine!)
