Travel Tips from people who've been to Overland Park
Overland Park is a pretty nice area.  There isn't really a whole lot to do here aside from restaurants and shopping, but as far as Kansas goes, its a good place to be.
For shopping, hit Town Center Plaza at 119th and Roe.  Follow it up by heading down Nall toward Metcalf.

The same area has pretty good food.  One of the best family restaurants in the area is Han Shin Japanese Steak House.  The owners opened Han Shin a little over 10 years ago.  Han Shin is head and shoulders above other Japanese Steak Houses in the area.  Just be sure to make a reservation for dinner.

The Wine Bar inside Lucas Liquors on 135th street is great for a glass of wine after dinner.  They stock over 90 wines, whiskeys, and tequilas and chef Terry Barkley serves outstanding lunches and dinners.  Take Roe to 135th.  Take a left onto 135th and follow it past State Line.  Take the first left and an immediate right into a parking lot.  Go past the Party Warehouse.  Lucas Liquors is the last building on the left.
