Travel Tips from people who've been to Metairie
Mardi Gras parades in this town are the best, especially for out of towners. Convenient to shops and restaraunts and at one point you can stand on the median and have floats going down both sides of the road. Friendly locals, pakring garages full of music and people grilling out. Lots of fun. Bring your cooler, grill, and if you got kids... bring a ladder chair... the higher the better if you want beads for the kids. Good tip? (0) It's a Ok outskirt city of New Orleans. They have good food there overcoarse. Family oriented parades. And an Imax theater. But I alway pass through there when I go to downtown New Orleans Good tip? (0) Decent distance from N.O. but still plenty to do. Good tip? (0) Recent Updates for Metairie
