The second Cambridge is a lovely city too ... even if you are just visiting ... my tips will be different, having lived here, but from a travel perspective .... do stroll around Harvard Square and catch a game of chess there if you play ... visit Harvard and MIT just to soak in the academic feel, visit Harvard's famous library, check out Longfellow's house, have a pint at the many Irish pubs, visit the loads of bookshops including the one specialising in poetry, and attend a lecture or so if you can...
