Travel Tips from people who've been to Oklahoma
The Castle of Muskogee is a sight to see.  It is kind of disappointing into actually looking like a castle, but it makes for a good laugh.  If you are there during the Renaissance Fair, embrace the culture.  You don’t have to dress up, but if you do, they have rental suites.  It’s a great way to spend the day, and the people are all very nice.  The locals really like to get into the atmosphere, and they put on really good shows.  It is definitely a great thing to experience at least once.

My college hometown.  I love this place.  And to this day, I'm still trying to figure out why I was in such a hurry to get out, when now I'd give anything to get back in.  It's a typical college town with shops and what not.  I guess the most notable things to people out of town would be the National Wrestling Hall Of Fame.  As for food, the selection is hard to beat.  You have the Joe's cult, Eskimo Joe's, Mexico Joe's, and Joeseppi's.  Shortcake's (THE place to go at three a.m. drunk and starving.  or for a big breakfast for CHEAP).  The Hideaway (specialty pizzas! and my former place of employment).  and last but not least, Kyoto...for the BEST sushi this side of Japan.  it even beats NYC sushi.  no joke)

The people in Midwest City are all extremely helpful and nice. One of the main things that i have seen since ive lived here are that outdoor activities rule the outside. so far my favorite activities are camping, going to the lake, rockclimbing, driving around bricktown (old and nice to sightsee) and catching some movies. some of the restaurants that i will never forget first on my list is Zio's , it is an amazing italian restaurant mmmhmmm! , second the bar-b-q out is is bomb! the best place that i have found so far is called Sprigs, and its not too far from the air force base i live on its a little local owned restaurant but if you are wanting some authentic home cooking come here its the best bar-b-q ive ever had.
