San Francisco, California, United States
A true joy, I arrived with a work partner from Boulder City, NV, we got our little airport map and headed towards Polk Street, crossed the Golden Gate bridge 4 times, back and forth, before we realized that there's a Polk Street and Polk Ave and Polk this and Polk that. Ended up starved and had dinner in China Town, was simply the best Chinese food I've ever had, Steamed plates of dim sum, stir fried beef, lomein noodles, and a fish (fried, with head and tail) that simply melted in our mouths. What a delightful city, hilly and charming. With people from all walks of life going about their busy lives and always willing to point two idiots towards their destination.

Chicago, Illinois, United States
Okay Chicago the best city in the U.S because I lived here half of my life, anyways when you come to Chicago, always try our Deep Dish Pizza and the Great Restaurants which is all over the place , go to Wrigley Ville (Clark Ave) check out the strip of Bars, clubs, and Live Bands, at night time take a cruise around Downtown starting point well be Lake shore drive, take a trip to Navy Pier and see the Museums and Land Marks, need to shop? Take a walk at the magnificent mile (Michigan ave.), if you really want to see the a good view of the city at night time, then hop on to the Sears Tower...need some Asian spice, head down to Chinatown, well so far I covered most of the tourist attraction...Enjoy Chi-town...

United States Tourist Information
Los Angeles, California, United States
for aussis travellers heading to usa. first thing to remember is their scale of rating for hotels is very different to aus hotels.. a 4 star hotel their is about a 1 here. as in we stayed at a so called 4 star resort right near disneyland.. and were supposed to have a continental breakfast.. it ended up being 1 coffee and 1 iced donut that had to be colelcted from front office. they dont have bar fridges in most hotels and u have to get ice. some hotels are not very helpful. so get plenty of advice and choose wisely. for attractions dont miss Knotts Berry Farm its a great day out adn to be honest preferred it to over commercialised Disneyland.
women do NOT travel alone. and dont flash your money around alot. i was told that if i need to get money out of my wallet to go into toilets and do it. but thats abit over the top. Check out some of the larger malls such as i think its called South Mall in Los Angelos. its huge and lots of good bargins. If u have a multi day pass to Disneyland try and do all the other sightseeing first and leave Disneyland to last.. that way if you want to go back and pick up things you can. WE had no coffee or tea even toast making facilities in room.. couldnt even keep milk in with us as nothing to store it in as no bar fridge.. so very ahrd to make simple things to eat.. eating out all the time is costly.. try not eat before or after going to theme parks as the food there is over the top in prices.. for something different try Medievil times it was a fantastic night of knights in shinging armour.. jousting and falconry.

Laplace, Louisiana, United States
I realize that you can't base your views of a city on one stay - but if I did I would call Laplace a complete dump. The hotel we stayed in was horrid. We woke in the middle of the night to the toilet flooding all over the floor. You could hear "something" in the walls chewing. The carpet was filthy and so were the beds. We had been driving for 12 hours so we just slept on top of the covers. The hotel was a Super 8. I'm hoping that it's way better now than it was then. If Laplace wasn't a complete dump - then they should have razed that hotel for giving their city a bad name. Absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in...IN MY LIFE!

Riverview, Florida, United States
A suburb of Tampa. Has everything you need to survive, stores, post office, Brandon Mall is close by. Overall it's a place to live and call home but all the action and nightlife is found in Tampa's Ybor City or on the Pinellas beaches. The best beach in my opinion is an hours drive to Bradenton Beach.

Missing your techno fix or just need to e-mail home? Go to the Apple store on the Third Street Promenade. It has free internet and you get to try out cool toys! Also check out the beach on Sundays because they sometimes have West Arlington set up. It's a protest of war deaths and is quite a sight.

San Bernardino, California, United States
For a truly shitty experience go to the Inland Center Mall or even worse make your way over to the Carousel Mall. Any real risk taker knows that to really enjoy a city, one must delve themselves into the culture. While making your way to the Carousel Mall, take a stroll on South "E" Street. The cracked streets and beggars are sure to make for a plethora of inspiring vacation photos.

Perhaps you'll find an open restaurant or two, but I doubt it. Who needs it anyway? This is the wild west. So snort some meth, take a shot and head down to South "E" Street for a vacation I can promise you'll remember forever.

many make the mistake of not stopping by Red Canyon , a small, compact place with intense red and orange colours and bizarre rock formations. it's easily accessible, right next to the road, and feels almost like a toy compard to Zion and Bryce. there are few easy trails among the rocks, and endless photo opportunities.

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States
Christmas Eve in Albuquerque can be pretty spectacular - if you know where to look. Take a Luminaria bus tour through my home neighborhoods of Hunning Castle and Old Town - there are plenty on Christmas Eve. If you don't know a Luminaria (or Farolito, if you're from Santa Fe) is, here's a description that in no way does it justice - brown paper lunchbag filled with sand and a candle that is placed along a sidewalk or road, lit right at dusk on Christmas Eve. One alone isn't that impressive, but picture hundreds of thousands of them lining the roads around Old Town and you can start to comprehend how awe-inspiring they can be. You can take the driving rout that a veritable parade of cars and trucks and Harley motorcycles decked out in Christmas lights drive down, or you can get out, walk around and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Either way, it's an event not to be missed!

Niagara Falls, New York, United States
Actually I have to say, that Niagara Falls (the part of Canada) is absolutely not worth a travel. The Falls are OK, but the city is like Disney Land in Las Vegas. Everywhere Casinos and no what so ever calm romance surrounding.
The part of the US is calmer, but because every store has closed due to lack of customers, who always buy their stuff on the Canadian side (you can see the falls far more better from there).
If you are there, go and see it, but I wouldn't recommend anybody to go there just to see the falls!

San Francisco, California, United States
If you drive a car into San Francisco, be prepared to either parallel park or pay a premium for a lot.

For parallel parking, you may have to do so on a very steep hill so prepare yourself! For lots, expect to pay about $5-10 for a couple hours, $25 and up for overnight in private lots, and around $50 per night even when you are a guest at a major hotel.

Bryce Canyon, Utah, United States
Make sure to bring your camera and lots of extra memory. Bryce Canyon is so amazing. You should go on hikes there, but bring LOTS of water. While you're there, you should also stop by Zion, a similar national park only a few hours away. There is this place there where water that sifted through the sandstone falls on you. It's really cool. At Bryce there are shuttle buses that bring you to select attractions.
