Fort Worth Travel Guide

OK, Fort Worth isn't really one of those places that you wake up one morning with a burning need to see.  For most, I'd say it's a place to stop over in route to someplace else or a place to visit friends or family.  That doesn't mean you can't still have some fun and enjoy yourself.

There is history in Fort Worth, and one way to find out a bit about it is to head to the Fort Worth Stock Yards.  Grasping for a chunk of the American tourist trade, Fort Worth has restored and polished up what is left of the original grounds of the old cattle market.  You might even get to catch some cowboys moving some longhorn cattle while you're there.

this is a nice town and laid back (esp. for a girl from NJ!) many restaurants and bars, if you are visiting Dallas, fort worth is a must see. Drive to the center of town get out of your car and walk around, there are plenty of great texan restaurants for ribs and BBQ or south western/mexican. check out the old opera house too and at night it is lit up, beautiful.
