Cedar City is the home of The Utah Shakespearean Festival and is one happening place to be in the summer. They have two main stages and usually have at least six shows in reperatory from roughy May-September, though their season has been expanding in many ways over the years. The weather in Southern Utah is ideal for outdoor shows during the summer and there is a free Green Show each night before the performances, six days a week. (Shut Sundays) The quality of the perfomances, scenery, and technical aspects is top rate, with some well-known actors returning for a summer of fun and festivity year after year. This is truly a vacation destination for the theater-lover at heart!
