Travel Tips from people who've been to Bennington
Bennington has some really great places to visit. There is the Bennington Monument, which was built to commemorate the Battle of Bennington. You can take an elevator up to the top and enjoy views of the local countryside. If you can get near it in the fall, you'll see some beautiful foliage...but good luck doing that! The Bennington Museum is another good stop while you are in town. Robert Frost's grave is right around the corner in the old cemetary. There are tons of shops and stores all along Main St in Bennington. If you like to bar hop, there are some good bars as well...it's a college town, after all. I recommend Madison's Brewing Company. They have a number of good in-house brews! In August, there is a big parade for Battle Days. Always a good parade.
