Merida, Andean, Venezuela
Isla Larga, Central Region, Venezuela
Great small Island to visit quite near to Valencia. Would recommend it as a typical one day trip. Good access. No infrastructure on Island. 2 sunken ships to be found from WWII era. Great for snorkeling and wreck diving. Nice white sand, ideal for families as well.
Islas Los Roques, Insular Region, Venezuela
Rent a Yacht with a small "dingie" boat. That way you can go to the shallow parts and reefs. Fly to Gran Roque and have the Yacht wait for you there. Bring your cook and Food. Bring all your family members, and leave your phone at home. The best vacation on the planet. Expensive but worth every cent.
Morrocoy, Central Region-Western, Venezuela
Morrocoy is a place like no other. You need to fly in a small plain to Tucacas (the airport is just 1 small runway) or drive from Caracas or Valencia airports. Rent a small water taxi ("penero") to bring you to "El Sombrero" and "Boca Seca". Very unique places. Some of the most beautiful beaches ever. Sleep in the local hotel in tucacas.
Apartaderos, Andean, Venezuela
Charcutería El Aguila. Excelentes embutidos.
Caracas, Capital, Venezuela
Saracao, that is the salsa night-club
El Dorado, Guayana Region, Venezuela
This city is famous for it's terrible prison and, most importantly for being the center of the 24k gold business. To get some of the most beautiful gold jewelry in the world at the market price of the gram of gold, you have to go to El Dorado. Plus it's really funny to walk around the main square and see a jewelry for every 2 shops!
Porlamar, Insular Region, Venezuela
Barcelona, North-Eastern Region, Venezuela
