You hav to find Megan's Beach

A most when visiting St. Thomas (especially while on a cruise) is catching a ride on one of the islands bus tours! They are more accurately giant trucks that are converted to to a tram style bus. The tour takes you around the island so you can see the views and bays from beautiful little tucked away spots. It continues on to a little roadside stand where you can get an amazing little banana flavored frozen beverages:) and ends at a beautiful beach with the best snorkeling on the island. The tour leaves you there to have some fun in the sun for about 2 hours and comes back to pick you up and take you back to port. It's worth every penny and is actually cheaper than a taxi fare to Megan's Bay.

 A personal favorite is Raymond's bus tours. He is a local firefighter on the island so you can't miss his bus...it's bright red and has a picture of himself fighting fires on the side:) He was friendly funny and full of information and activity ideas for the island.

When is he best time to visit the Virgin Islands? Anytime!  Well almost, tourist levels are highest in the winter months (this is when I got the chance to visit).  Late spring and early summer can also be a great time.  Watch the weather from late summer to autumn as this is tropical storm season.
