Travel Tips from people who've been to Saint Thomas
You hav to find Megan's Beach Good tip? (+1) A most when visiting St. Thomas (especially while on a cruise) is catching a ride on one of the islands bus tours! They are more accurately giant trucks that are converted to to a tram style bus. The tour takes you around the island so you can see the views and bays from beautiful little tucked away spots. It continues on to a little roadside stand where you can get an amazing little banana flavored frozen beverages:) and ends at a beautiful beach with the best snorkeling on the island. The tour leaves you there to have some fun in the sun for about 2 hours and comes back to pick you up and take you back to port. It's worth every penny and is actually cheaper than a taxi fare to Megan's Bay. A personal favorite is Raymond's bus tours. He is a local firefighter on the island so you can't miss his bus...it's bright red and has a picture of himself fighting fires on the side:) He was friendly funny and full of information and activity ideas for the island.
