I stayed here after a Priceline bid ($70 for one night) and I'm very glad to have discovered this place. First of all, the hotel is conveniently located in the Inner Harbour area of Victoria within walking distance to all the major attractions. Then there is the hotel itself. This quaint boutique hotel has 64 rooms and it's evident a lot of detail has gone into the environment. You're greeted with fresh fruit (for us it was local apples) in the lobby as well as in the room on arrival, and the rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Surprising now for a 4 star hotel, the internet was complimentary, as were bottles of water. Even more surprising was that breakfast was included. The breakfast was advertised as a continental breakfast, and so I was expecting some muffins and yogurt in a tub. Imagine more surprise walking in to a fresh waffle maker, an assortment of cold cuts and cheeses, fruits, pastries, juices and more! Even parking was a reasonable $16 for in-out privileges (though of course I'd have preferred free :p)

Aside from the facilities, I was also impressed with the staff. Everyone was friendly and courteous, even before they found out I was there to take pictures for GeckoGo. Not thinking, I responded that I was taking pictures for a review site when a lady at breakfast commented on my prolific picture taking, and the next thing I know Bill, the general manager had come up to introduce himself. I was given a tour of the rest of the facilities (which was awesome as I got to take more pics), and I'm overall left with a very favourable impression of the place. No, I didn't ask to nor was comp'd anything and yes, I'd gladly pay close to the list price (around $199/night) if I'm back during a summer peak season. :)
