Oct 24, 2008 "Circus" describes this hostel quite well! It was a bright, colorful, happy, busy hostel. Staying at this hostel for the few days I was in Berlin made the trip. It was very easy to meet people here, down in the lobby there were computers and then a comfy sitting area. I would hang out in the lobby before going out to the bars at night, and meet people from all over the world. We just sat around drinking cheap wine from the corner store, chatting, and becoming friends. We would then all go out together and have a great time! There was also a lively bar down in the basement of the building, which was also a lot of fun. Although I was on a budget at the time and couldn't really afford more than one drink. I stuck to the cheap wine. After a night out and stumbling back into my bedroom, while trying not to wake the other 7 people in there, we wandered downstairs to the hostel's cafe, where it was 4 euros for an all you can eat buffet. This wasn't your average buffet though, it was gourmet! The food was fabulous! Eggs, breads, cheeses, meats, pasta, fruit, muffins, you name it, they had it! So delicious! Lastly, the hostel was very clean! Bedroom doors were locked at all times. The rooms were brightly painted yellows and blues. There were individual beds, night stands, lights, and little dressers for each person in the room. The beds were also amazing, with a fluffy comforter and an amazing pillow. After being away from home for 5 weeks you start to miss your own bed and pillow, but this pillow and bed reminded me of home and I slept like a baby at Circus Hostel! If anyone is traveling to Berlin, I highly recommend staying here! You will meet great people, feel safe and comfortable, eat fantastic food, and have the time of your life! Related Links
