Chungking mansion is a fucking dump! cheap but a dump! If you dont mind being holed up in a hell hole of a place for 4 or more days then you can probably cope with it which is where the fact of the matter that i can sleep anyware didnt really effect me too much!

My room smely of Curry and sewerage from where the toilet was leaking over the floor, and the shower attachment from which was placed above the toilet was spraying all over the light attachment. When i made a move out to reception and said to the guy "mate....... it is a bit of a shithole" the response was "yes sir but what do you expect for £7 a night"!

Granted he had a point but i was also concerened by the amount of luggage under my bed!

Oh well i am still alive but it bought back memories from the film Hostel!!!!

If you want to feel real Hong Kong you should go there and, for the best experience, even sleep there in one of plenty hostels.

It was featured in the movie, Chungking Express. Two doors down, there's a place that makes the best turkey clubs in the world!
