3 person room had a double bunk-bed, small kitchenette (fridge, cooker, microwave, basic cooking utensils and cutlery, plates etc.), dining table with chairs, sofa and armchairs, tv, some storage space and a wardrobe, plus en suite bathroom with shower. There was also a spare foam mattress under the bed for an extra person. Black-out blinds on the windows, excellent for Icelandic summers with constant sunshine. Room was a reasonable size although by no means big. 2 keys were given to the room. A really good location that was within walking distance of most things, and literally right across the street from the Whale Watching tours.

We had a top floor (third floor) room, with 4 people. Think the rooms was meant for 3, although it had a double bunk, with an extra mattress under the bed, we were told only one person should sleep on the top bunk but we didn't listen :) Thought the room was quite nice, really clean and comfortable. Maybe a little bit small for 4 people as theres just the one room theres no where to hide but the bathroom! Which is a very nice bathroom, with a proper decent shower.. and a heated towel rack which I discovered came in very handy for drying off clothes! There was a sofa.. and two armchairs as far as I remember. Comfy too, and a TV with some channels - in English! - we didn't watch much of that though. There was a dining table and chairs also which didn't get much use as we ate off our laps on the sofa. The little kitchenette was perfect for cooking dinner and was all we needed. The black-out blinds were fantastic because we stayed during the summer, when its bright out all the time, so our sleep was not disturbed at all. Another thing I thought was good was that we got two sets of keys to the room, so 3 of us weren't locked out when 1 person didn't turn up back with the key to let us in! There was no lock-out time, obviously, because we had our own key to get in and out however we did have to be quieter after a certain time as far as I remember. There was no bed linen but I think you could pay a bit extra for some, we had sleeping bags with us though so we didn't need that. Good location, thought the area it was in felt very empty and deserted a bit until we discovered that the rest of Reykjavik was like that too - it really is a strange place! - found it to be only a short walk from most things when we went for a wander one day, and its literally across the road from where the Whale Watching tours leave. Found a few nice restaurants just down the road from it.. didn't get lost trying to find our way back home either! ;) All in all, I don't think I have any complaints about it.. really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely stay there again.
