The 3 star hostal La Casa de los PingÃ¼inos opened its doors in October 2007. The Dutch/Peruvian owners offer a variety of facilities to make sure your stay will be enjoyable.

The hostal is a three story building in a safe area within walking distance of the Plaza de Armas. The rooms contain comfortable beds with high quality matresses and duvets.

All nine rooms have cable TV, wireless internet and private bathroom with 24hours hot water.

We have family rooms available which we cannot offer through the system. These rooms have a double bed and single bed, suitable for 3 persons at a price of $35. You can book them by booking a double room and then informing us by e-mail that you need a family room.

The ground floor contains a bar and lounge to relax and on the second floor there is a living room area where you can watch DVD's of your choice or use our book exchange. There are also some games. The hostal is nicely decorated (but not overdone) with pictures of penguins.

You will also find a selection of enlarged photos from Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile and Mexico.

Although the hostal is situated in the centre of town there is a spacious garden to enjoy.

There is a free secure garage for cars, motorbikes or bicycles.

We pay for your taxi from the bus station. We will either pay upon your arrival at the hostal or discount it from your bill. Please make sure you take a taxi from within the bus station. They are more safe!!!
The price is between 4 and 5 soles.

The address is: Avenida Parra 110 (next to colegio Claretiano).

Should you arrive by plane a taxi is around 15 soles from the airport to the hostal and this is for your own cost.
