The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat is an island paradise with crystal clear water and pure white sands... a true sanctuary of peace and natural beauty. It is located across the bay from Nassau on one of the finest beaches of the world. Five and a half acres of tropical paradise await you where you will find a heaven far from the hectic demands of everyday life. The Ashram is built around a semi-closed outdoor meditation temple. There are spacious exercise platforms facing the warm blue green water of the Caribbean. Swaying palms provide you with shade and shelter. You can stay in one of  cozy wooden cabins, or if you prefer, you may pitch a tent in the quiet coconut grove. It is the perfect environment  to enjoy the warm companionship of like-minded people from around the world. Experience a unique adventure, an opportunity to develop positive, radiant health and inner peace, through the practice of the ancient yoga techniques for balanced living.

Getting there:
Fly directly to Nassau International Airport. (Please contact your local Bahamian Consulate to verify if you require a visa to enter the Bahamas). At the airport: After collecting your luggage and passing through customs, call the Yoga Retreat on telephone number 363-2902 to let us know that you are on your way. Take a taxi to the Mermaid Dock (on bay street, next to VIP restaurant). Our boat will be there to pick you up and take you to the ashram which is located about five minutes boat ride from the Mermaid Dock.

A great place to practice Yoga and enjoying yoga life style. The teachers are amazing, there is a big variety of spiritual and healing teachings and also many special programs as music concerts and different courses.
The beach and the surroundings are amazingly beautiful.
Highly recommended!!!

all vegetarian meals included - yummy and good community
meditation and yoga classes each twice per day included
visitors are expected to participate
lodging in dorms or camping
great swimming beach

A great place to get reconnected with yourself, to explore your personal spirituality in a supportive environment, to deepen your yoga and meditation practice, to get some sun, and to meet fantastic individuals and spiritual leaders from all over the world.
