The Inn of the Beachcomber is a four acre beachfront property with 47 renovated rooms. The current owners, Ted and Keri Eady, have renovated the Inn to capture the feeling of a simpler uncomplicated era. Their Arts and Crafts decor offer guest luxury Bungalow style suites with panoramic beachfront views, fireplaces and private ocean front spas. We have been told by our guests that our beds, with their memory foam mattress toppers and the triple sheeted comforters, are the most comfortable motel beds they have slept in. The Inn uses 250 thread count satin striped sheets and an abundance of the best synthetic down pillows available. Guest will find 32inch flat screen TVs, new balconies, light fixtures from the Arts and Crafts era as well as the Art work of Georgia OKeeffe in their rooms. For breakfast you will find sausage gravy and biscuits, Belgian waffles and scrambled eggs. For the health conscious we offer organic cereal, fresh fruit in season, yogurt, granola and hard boiled eggs. For those with a sweet tooth we provide those huge Costco Muffins and sweet rolls. The large breakfast room has the feel of a country inn as quest share stories about their time at the Beachcomber and exchange travel tips. Swimmers will find a heated indoor pool and spa. The short path through the sand dune affords quest a level and easy walk to our pristine beach. During the summer we offer wine and cheese tasting in our wine shop that has over 300 special selections.

I found this place on the internet and decided to book online in advance due to a 10-year-long fear of not finding a place on the Oregon Coast after a "Ocean fest" incident. The place looked like it had decent rates - $109 in July for AAA members for two queen beds no view, so we decided to go for it. We pack up from Seattle and start heading down towards the coastal highway. Due to some miscalculations of distance, we didn't end up arriving till 2:00am. I made the clever realization that we were going to be arriving quite ahem late around midnight, and in panic we tried to call to let the owners know in advance. No answer. Rather than possibly forfeit our reservations, we decided to take our chances and show up anyway. No one at the front door. Luckily on the door they posted a phone # "Call in case of emergency"." So we did. And the nice lady let us in and set us up even though we arrived at such a bleeping hour in the morning and had to wake her up to do so. The beds were surprisingly large, the room was very spacious, and I was impressed to see a mini bar AND a TV with a selection of DVD movies. None the matter, I was too tired to enjoy any of this and passed out soon after. What really surprised me though was the next day. Turns out continental breakfast was included. Now I don't know about you but my continental breakfast experience has traditionally sucked. Not this time. With rock bottom expectations, I was pleasantly surprised to find a decent selection of danishes, muffins (including maple brown sugar), and fresh fruit (blueberries) with canned peaches. Not bad! The toiletries were standard - generic shampoo/conditioner combo, water pressure was good. My only real complaint would be that they didn't have any WiFi. Whatup? All the other little rinky dink motels along the highway had it. :)

This isn't the Ritz, but that's OK.
We arrived at almost 2am and woke the front desk woman who was very kind given the hour.
Warm shower, REALLY comfortable beds, terrific breakfast and great staff.  This is one of those places you love to have in your pocket; awesome little motel.
