You can find us down a quiet lane just 100 meters from the front steps St Joseph's Cathedral in the center of town.
Offering both dorm and private rooms; our price includes breakfast, internet, all day tea & coffee, linen and friendly advice.
We organize our own tours to Ha Long Bay for guest booking only through the hostel only. And it is the only tour that stays on a private island in the Cat Ba National Park where you can choose to wake board, waterski, banana boat or rock climb as an activity included in the tour.
Because we enjoy a good crac as much as the next guy, there are BBQ's every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5pm on the Roof Top terrace as well as a Sunday Session from 3pm. Our nightly Happy Hour starts at 5 o'clock on the ROOF TOP BAR.
For those of you arriving via Hanoi International Airport we highly recommend organizing an airport pick up. No, it is not free but you will avoid the hassles of being taken to another hotel which will tell you that the hostel is full/closed down/or was knocked down by an act of God.
We look forward to meeting you and remember Happy Hour starts at FIVE.

Ask the taxi driver to take you to St Joseph's Cathedral on the corner of Nha Tho St and Ly Quoc Su St. If you are facing the Church from the front of the square Ly Quoc Su will be the street to your right. Walk past the Pagoda (50m) in Ly Quoc Su and turn left into Ngo Huyen at the big Yamaha Music Shop. Look for the blue and yellow 'Hostel' sign.

The new Ha Noi Backpackers is located on Ma May road, in the North East of the Old Quarter. It was, and still is, by far the best hostel I have stayed in during my time in SE Asia. The location is perfect, the staff are friendy, helpful and well-spoken, the drink is cheap, the food is excellent and the entire place is clean, safe and secure. I stayed there on my birthday, and had the best birthday ever. Could not recommend this place enough. Also, if you are in Hue, there is a backpacker run by the same company there too. It's just as good.

Great atmosphere. A place where you can really 'see the world' as there are fellow backpackers from all over the places. Staff were university students so conversations in English were easy. Also, with free wi-fi and breakfast for low rates, what more can you ask for? :)
