Alice Springs TipsTip on : Alice Springs - 5 years ago
A definite activity you must do while here is climbing Ayer's Rock , or "Uluru" at the heart of the red center. It's a three mile hike up the smooth surface of the largest rock in the world, with stakes and chains if you need help. Once you're at the top, there's a large compass with the names of the different regions of Australia labeled in each direction. Great photo opportunities. For those who have difficulty climbing, the 1/2 day walk around the base of the rock is quite stunning with lagoons and waterfalls, not to mention the local aboriginals.Good tip?
