Top tip - pop into the tourist office and pick up a 'walking map' of Copenhagen. Gives you a wonderful walking tour of Copenhagen and you can choose how long a route to take which brings you past all the important landmarks and out of the main high streets. Otherwise spend the day in Tivoli, one of the best theme parks in the world!

Tivoli was actually kind of dull when i went there. I wouldn't schedule a whole day there. The beaches are great (topless) and the shopping along them is okay, but make sure to wear shoes wherever you go, they do a poor job of cleaning the streets around the beaches.
