Mirecourt TipsTip on : Mirecourt - 3 years ago
There is a hotel right across the street from the railroad station. It is pleasant, clean and inexpensive. The town is fairly quaint and (at least in the late 90s was still quaint with many structures dating well before the turn of the 20th century. They have a great public library (for researchers into bow and stringed instrument makers). You will have no trouble finding stringed instrument shops of all kinds. Mirecourt gets a fairly selective type of tourist, so this is a great "off the beaten track" type place. It is within quick distance from Nancy by train. Once there, you will not likely only need your shoes as transportation. The town is small and easily walked.
