It's possible to do a day trip to Carriacou from Grenada.  The ferry leaves early in the morning from St. Georges, then goes to Carriacou and Petit Martinique.  It returns back to St. George in the late afternoon.  Once in Carriacou, taxi drivers can take you on a tour of the island.
