Gabu TipsTip on : Gabu - 3 years ago
Gabu is a muddy, dirty, crossroads town in Guinea-Bissau. However, it has beautiful Portuguese colonial architecture and city layout. It helps to speak some Portuguese, if you don't speak the local language. The people are inviting, nice, beautiful, and generous.

Leila G. says: Jul 2, 2008 I lived in Gabu for 2 years. Its only muddy in the rainy season...otherwise its bone dry! Gabu is all about the people - its a mix of moslem, Christian and animist and overall very tolerant place. Recommend palm wine for the adventurous, and chicken cafiela for all! Was this useful?
