Essaouira is Fab, really good surf spot and such a chilled back way of life. Brilliant Riads, funky bars and lots of pizza places if your sick of couscous or tagine. Ramadan restricts eating but Essaouira is not as bad as other places in Morocco. generally you can eat after 8 or half past. we travelled alone as two young girls and got on perfectly fine, you get over the little remarks as long as you keep open minded.
