The travel tip to for Mogadishu (Muqdisho) is to stay the heck away. This place is dangerous. For a place on the seaside, it is pretty bleak. I went as part of a military deployment. I am glad I got to go, but would not call it fun. It may be years before stability is achieved and infrastructure rebuilt. The locale lends itself to seaside resorts with links style golf. In our lifetime? I hope so.
