I LOVE TAIPEI!

The night markets
Clubbing
Shopping districts
Electronic markets
Food. Everywhere awesome.
The Buzz of the city.
The hair salons are amazing
Clothes you will never find anywhere else - for cheap
Just go. You'll love it and if you are white, you'll be one of the few white people who aren't english teachers to ever see it.
