Pattaya Tips

Pattaya was a disappointment for me. I'm an asian girl and i was traveling alone in Pattaya. Does this alone necessarily mean i'm looking for someone??? Pattaya's swarmed with dodgy old blokes and putas. I really disliked the atmosphere there and ended up staying in the hotel's swimming pool for 4 days! Pattaya is an oversized red light district. Unless your interest is in prostitution, go somewhere else!

You needed to get away from downtown Pattaya and Walking Street. There's a million things to do here besides hit the bars and gogo's. As a single gal traveling alone there's probably fewer things to do that you would enjoy, but at the very least you could have went scuba diving, bungee jumping, hot air balloon ride, or visited some of the beautiful wats here like Wat Yanasangwararam at Viharnra Sien. You might even have thought about doing the Flight of the Gibbon zipline tour. I imagine if you'd stayed at one of the hostels you might have met a few friends to enjoy some of the sites and activities with and had a much more enjoyable experience...maybe next time.
