Dolphin Hotel, Southampton is excellent. At the lower end of the market price wise at £60 a night but good nevertheless!

Good transport links from all over England! Direct trains from the North East of England via Birmingham (CrossCountry) from the North West or Scotland, travel to Birmingham (Virgin West Coast) and the on to Southampton.
