Edinburgh was so cool I went there four times!  The first time was for an All Black-Scotland test match.  You couldn't turn around without bumping into a Kiwi.  Walking to the game from the hotel was wicked.  The street was so full of people walking to Murrayfield that the cars weren't able to use the street at all.  There were men in their kilts and people hanging out of windows cheering with banners and balloons.  That night, Edinburgh just rocked!  We went to the Grassmarket (I think from memory) to the nightclubs there.  It was awesome.

I went back the next weekend after completing a tour around Scotland just to shop and catch a bus to Peebles to see a cuz and then a train back to London.

But I was back a couple of weeks later with Wanderer's World to do an orientation before Hogmany.  Rose St boasts a whole heap of bars as well which we were ordered to check out before heading back to the Three Sisters at the Grassmarket.  Wicked night!

So then I was back for Hogmany!  Well, I can tell you that Edinburgh can party large.  It was about twenty hours that I lasted for!  And the great thing is that Edinburgh is only a short distance from other great places to visit like Stirling Castle.

Public transport is good and I recommend taking a guided tour on the double decker bus.  There are several to choose from.  Good shopping too and amazing architechure.  So much to see and do.  Too much to mention.  Would love to go back again!
